Here’s a quick video about one of the most important lessons I’ve ever learned in my online business and chiropractic practice, hands down! I used to believe that the amount of money I made was proportional to the amount of “technical” know-how I possessed. I thought, “When I know how to build / program a website, use Final Cut Pro, install a Wordpress blog, I’ll be able to do better financially and attract new patients along with online customers.”

In a nutshell, I was wrong! My thinking began to seriously shift when I started to meet and connect with self-made millionaires that didn’t even have a fraction of the tech knowledge that I did. Think BIG! Thoughts from Punta Cana

Here’s a quick update from my vacation in beautiful Punta Cana. While I was on the beach, I became inspired to make this personal video. I was also reminded of a quote by an anonymous source that says “Where you are in life at his moment is EXACTLY where you believe you should be.”

While studying human potential, it never ceases to amaze me what can be accomplished when all perceived obstacles and psychological barriers are removed. I remember growing-up in a small town in southeast Michigan, being surrounded by friends and family, in a limited belief system that was not really my own. I instinctively knew that I was different and never place limits upon myself or what I could achieve. Yet, I watched how others would continuously make excuses and settle, selling themselves short letting their present external circumstances dictate internet beliefs.

One of the lessons I took away was to think big, regardless of how “unrealistic” I thought my desire was or “how” I was going to make it happen. An interesting thing began to unfold when I started doing thinking this way. The “how” eventually took care of itself when I began to take action toward my dreams and maintain focus. I attracted the network, relationships, and skill-set that would eventually lead me on an extraordinary path and where I am today.

I’m not a big believer in chance or accidents when it comes to being successful in business or life. My advice is to really go after what you want, not what you think you can get! Enjoy the video and please share your thoughts below

Here’s a quick video I made from beautiful Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. In it, I discuss how how crucial online press release marketing is for traffic generation and give some tips on how / where to distribute your content. In my experience, online press release marketing is one of the MOST underutilized forms of promotion by businesses of all types. Many are just too Goo-Goo eyed over social media and have forgot about this ultra-effective PR strategy.

Foursquare Marketing for Small Business

There’s no doubt that smart phones like the iPhone, Droid, and Blackberry are taking over. It’s estimated that by 2012, they’ll be the most frequently used mobile devices in the United States. Simply put, this means more apps are going to be surfacing and piles of money will be made in the meantime. It’s predicted that smart phone users will shell-out 6.2 billion on more than 4.5 million downloads.

Foursquare has positioned itself very well in light of the above statistics. It’s a location-based application that just hit over a million users this April and was built around a relatively simple concept. Just “check-in” at the places you like to hang-out (restaurants, bookstores, cafes, etc…) and leave tips for others. Foursquare marketing for small business is young but I can guarantee you’ll hear a lot more about this platform in the coming months.

Hello from sunny San Diego! I flew-in a few days ago for a big internet marketing event and to hang-out with my sister and her husband for a little. It’s definitely one of my favorite travel destinations in the States. I was out in the Pacific Beach area having lunch near the water enjoying the scenery. I cannot even begin to describe how therapeutic the ocean is. Anyway, I came across a great video a couple days ago and wanted to share it with you.

Below, is an excellent keynote titled How to Deal with Haters by best selling author and fellow adventurer, Tim Ferris. In it, he reveals 7 critical points to keep in mind when dealing with others that try to sabotage your success. I speak from first-hand experience when I say that when you start crushing-it, making a name for yourself, and building your own mass audience …. you’ll have others that are jealous or just don’t like you for whatever reason.

Sometimes you’ll have others attack you, write misleading information, and try to make your life miserable. The first few times this happened to me, it was as if someone had punched me in the stomach. It was an awful feeling. I recall I even had one person write a horrible 1 star review on Amazon.com for my book, which he basically he admitted he never even read.

I learned quickly to have a “thick skin,” though. I also learned when to respond and when NOT to respond. In the video below, Tim gives some of the best advice I’ve heard on how to deal with haters. Check it out and let me know what you think or if you’ve had similar experiences.
