Matthew,
You are a wealth of knowledge and wisdom. You have explained clearly why there have been fewer and fewer interaction with my newsfeed posts.
What would you suggest if I already have the landing page and video completed that I was going to drive traffic to from FB? Should I redo the landing page to post on my FB Fanpage or provide an incentive and link once people land on the landing page? I think I kind of answered my own question, but it would be nice to hear your opinion too.
Thank you again for investing your time and effort into your blog content. I have been following you since late 09 and you have been a quiet inspiration for me to forge ahead with my own Internet based businesses.
Cheers,
Matthew,
Great post. How do you get your sponsored story to land on your Welcome page? I set one up and it goes directly to my Wall.
Thanks
Thank you for the kind words, Joseph. Yes, you need to have an offer on the landing page. Always put yourself in the mind of the prospect, as they’re thinking “What’s in it for me?” or “Why should I like this?” Offering a free report, video mini-course, and even having a contest are good ways to get “likes” and email opt-ins.
Hey Steven… There’s a setting on your Facebook fan page that allows you to change the default page that visitors land on. Go to “edit page” then check out the “manage permissions” tab on the left. You’ll see an option there to set your default landing tab
Matthew, Thanks. The mini-video stuff sounds great. And what you have here has helped me get that last piece of the puzzle in place. “WIIFM” !!! That is a tough one to forget.
Thanks again.
Wow Matthew! What great information! Thank you. I can’t wait to set up a sponsored story!
