  1. Thanks for the post Matthew. I used the chat function a bunch when I first started using Facebook. After watching your video I realized I have gotten away from using it and should start once again. Thanks for the tip!

Great idea, Matthew! I have a question for you. It appears that you were referring to your “personal profile” in the video. Do you subscribe to the notion that your personal profile should be used to communicate with family, friends, school buddies, etc. and that a Facebook “page” should
be used for promoting your business or whatever it is that you have to promote? I guess the point being that with a very active personal profile that is mixed with business contacts, it might be easy to miss posts by family and friends.I guess it’s kind of technical, but I can also see the idea behind keeping things separate. Your thoughts?

  4. Great Vid doc…

  5. Thanks for the FB tip Matt. Question for you. Any tips with how to actually attract prospective patients on FB? I have a bunch of friends on FB. Some of those people are old high school friends, some are people I interact with now, and some are just people that FB suggested I friend because we have 50 friends in common or whatever. I have actually gotten some biz from FB but it’s been very hit or miss. Is there a way to search for people that live or work in my local area? Or maybe even biz owners within my area? (Uptown Minneapolis, MN)

    Thanks Matt

  6. Thank you sharing your thoughts. I will test the idea in the near future and give my feedback. in daily social work requires the use of facebook is becoming increasingly important. I can imagine that twitter will soon no longer can keep up. facebook is easier to understand and easier to use.

facebook chat is awesome, not only help you add more fans but can directly communicate with your customers.

  8. Matt,
I appreciate all your helpful emails. I have a question about FB. I have a personal acct. and a FB business page. I post business blogs and pt. testimonial videos on my FB business page, but I also post them on my personal FB page, or probably no one would see them!

Is there some way to put “Chat” feature on business page or get FB friends to go to business page more?
Every now and then I put a plea on personal FB page to go and “LIKE” my business page or i wouldn’t have very many likes. In fact, after about 4 yrs. or so, I only have 126 “LIKES” on my business page. Very discouraging. Any thoughts about that?
    Thanks,
    Wanda Neville

Hi Wanda… Unfortunately, Facebook doesn’t have a business page chat function yet. I have a presentation called “How to Get 3000 Fans in 30 Days.” Send me your email and we’ll get it out to you 🙂

  10. Dr Matt,
Looking over your conversation with Wanda, I too have 125 likes. Would you please send me your 3000 in 30 days as well?
    Thank you for your efforts,
    You are appreciated,
    Robert A
