Social Media Shiny Object Syndrome: The Practice Killer?

It never ceases to amaze me of all the newest social media gimmicks that regularly arise. Seems like every other day, there’s another guru saying you should be doing (insert short-term trick).

What follows is usually the less savvy chiropractor jumps aboard this latest tactic looking for the one magic bullet.

Kind of funny isn’t it?

Chiropractors regularly speak-out against the medical “quick fix” pill but when it comes to their marketing, many times they get hooked into the one idea or tactic they think will cure their new patient worries forever.

Social media shiny object syndrome plagues many chiropractic practices.

The fact is, this online medium of marketing is VERY effective at pulling consistent streams of new patients if you do it correctly and operate with a foundational strategy.

Don’t get hyped-up on something new that makes your mouth water, then confuse it with marketing strategies that have a track record or producing patients and increased income.

“New” does not necessarily equal proven.

Here’s a video I put together that shares some critical things you must be aware of if you ever want to unleash the real power of the internet and social media marketing for your office.

  1. Thanks for the timely and important message! With all the information available out there from the numerous “internet marketing experts”, I’m guilty of becoming a paralysis by analysis victim. I was doing my best when sticking to the basics taught in your Social Media Training Course. Time to get back on track and doing what works!
Thanks again and keep up the good work!
