Dr. Matt,
Great post!
Do I need to use wordpress for all these plug in options to add to your blog?
What if your blog is from the website carrier?
If I don’t have to use wordpress,
Where do I get the plug ins for auto players, google XML sitemaps, and others other than the tweet counts and facebook likes button which I assume you get it from FB and twitter.
Thanks Eric! I strongly recommend WordPress, as it’s what I’ve used since I started blogging. It’s easy to use and Google adores them. Your web guy can take care of switching things onto a different platform, just ask him.
He can also watch this video and install these plugins so you don’t have to worry about the work. You can Google the names of the plugins online to find them 😉
Hey Yannick… Some people go crazy with installing WP plugins! No need to, though. You don’t need that many to run a successful blog that attracts people. I like to avoid clutter so I haven’t been in a position to test the max.
Thanks Dr. Jeffrey. All you need to do is go to where you normally get the embed video code from YouTube. Once you click the embed button, a menu will open up below, giving you the option to include “related videos” or not.
Just leave that option unchecked, as you don’t want to drive traffic to another persons video.
Thanks for the list of plugins. You’ve got a couple that I hadn’t heard of before, so I’m looking forward to using them on my blog.
And that tip on youtube that you just mention in the comment above, that is extremely helpful. Yet many people don’t know about it and lose a lot of youtube traffic.
Great video – as always we appreciate the valuable content you share with our profession.
At the beginning of the video you mentioned the social media box that is on the top right corner of your blog. Is that a plugin as well or something a programmer has done for you?
Matt thanks for the akismet plugin recommendation. I’ve been meaning to search for something. I’m starting to get some traffic and my email is constantly filled with junk comments. Hopefully this will be a time saver! I appreciate all your content! Keep up the good work.

Every time I try to register, I get an error message.
Register for what, Jeff?
Thanks again Matthew. Another great post that adds TONS of value!
Glad you enjoyed the video, Dr. Chris 🙂

Couldn’t agree more Matt.
WordPress is a fantastic web publishing platform with soooo many benefits for chiropractors.
Great job. Keep it up.
Todd 🙂
Nice job Matt. Those are all vital plugins to have on any blog.
Hi Matt,
Do you have any personal recommendations on the maximum number of plugins to have on a wordpress platform?
Yannick

Hi Matt,
Great information. I loaded the plug ins on the fly while watching the video.Very helpful.
I am wondering: how do you prevent the youtube menu of related videos from showing during your video?
Thanks and hope you are having an amazing day!
